Delhi Police have apprehended a contract killer after an intense confrontation in the Rohini sector 29-30 area during the night of Wednesday. The suspect, identified as Kamil, engaged in gunfire with the police when asked to surrender. In response, the police team also fired back.

During the exchange of fire, Kamil sustained a gunshot wound in his leg, allowing the authorities to successfully capture him. The police revealed that Kamil has been involved in more than 12 criminal cases across various police stations, including a killing that occurred in the Jama Masjid area of Delhi.

Additionally, the police recovered a pistol from the suspect. Earlier, on May 17, a man named Sameer (30), who happened to be the hotel owner’s brother-in-law, lost his life in an alleged shooting near Ya-Rub-Chala De Hotel in Jama Masjid late at night. A PCR call was received at 1:40 am reporting the incident. The police promptly arrived at the scene and discovered that the injured individual had already been taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are currently conducting further investigations into the matter.
